Race 2
BEN'S BULLET has fired three "bullets" in the morning since arriving on the grounds. Gary Miller is probably as anxious to see what he bought as I am. It will take some serious running to top the Bennett barn here. Steadied on the turn, he was unable to make the lead along the rail, eventually circled the field to finish with some gusto (3rd by 3/4 @ even money),

Race 3
WHY US usually cashes in when Jeff Radosevich brings him up Route 11. Interestingly, Jeff Skerrett gets his first 2012 leg up from Radosevich this afternoon. Reserved early was against the rail when it came time to run, no match for the winner (2nd by 1/2 @ 4/5).

Race 5 - The Race of the Day
COMEFLYWITHANANGEL is my tepid, take a shot at a "price," selection in this very competitive affair. She is coming off the shelf against against a group of solid contenders that have a race over this surface in 2012. Hopefully, she is as well prepared for this season's debut as she was in 2011's. Her ability to come from of the pace will be a plus here. Second choice, LEGGY LAURA, was the most impressive of  the recent runners, finishing up with a final quarter mile under 25 seconds. She will also be placed to kick around the corner, but must do it today under De La Cruz, rather than Gonzalez who pushed her buttons 16May. Shadowed easy winner LEGGY LAURA, three wide, for a fairly sharp second (2nd by 2 @ 11/1). The winner has breezed in both of her races here.
