Race 2
VALENTINUS made two bids up this spring's dead rail 28May before throwing in the towel; a trip up the middle of the track here could land him in victory lane after 15 tries in Cleveland.
Stalking a slow pace, it took aggressive urging to focus him, eventually he was up near the wire, well used (1st by 1, $4.80)
Race 6
BILLY'S BAND, second last time to a "winning machine," shows some back class, the fastest raw times and does OK at six furlongs
Let others duel for the lead until swinging wide in the stretch to win the race (1st by 1, $4.40)
Race 7
STOP HUNTING has shown the ability to rate in the past. He can't afford to duel PERFECT START for the lead today; so far nothing on the grounds has threatened this Bennett import
Softened by duels with CHON, then PERFECT START, he tired in the stretch (3rd by 2)
